Autumn Competitions 2025

Perfect weather and a great turnout of members made for a very successful Competitions Day. The Competitions Team were well organised and received 127 artworks for 11 Categories including our new Beauty of Nature category, which attracted 22 entries.

Forty -three members competed, most in several categories. Members gathered in the Art Room for a cuppa and a nice morning tea whilst the artworks were hung and judged. Sue MacDougall gave a talk about the art retreats that she hosts in Greece and her life in art.

Duane Moyle, commented on the winning artworks as he presented the trophies and made himself available after the presentations for any member to ask questions or have him appraise their artworks.

A new trophy was presented for the Beauty of Nature category and the Still Life trophy was replaced with a new trophy.

Congratulations to the merit and trophy winners. Duane commented that it was challenging to select winners in some categories as the standard was so high. He was very complimentary of the variety and calibre of the artworks and made constructive comments.
