TAKING PLACE IN JULY & AUGUST

SPRING COMPETITIONS

15 AUGUST 2026

Amazing artwork from our Autumn competition:

The TSA Spring Competition 2026, which is open to all financial members of Tauranga Society of Artists, will take place on Saturday, 15 August, at the Elizabeth Street Community Hall (opposite the TSA art room).

Our judge will be Mike Linklater, Head of the Art Department at Mount Maunganui College. This is the first time Mike has judged a TSA competition.

Our new President, Erena Patterson, will announce the competition winners at the awards presentation. Her choice of theme for the popular President’s Choice Trophy (Reg Chalmers Memorial Cup), Category 9, is “Whispers of Water.” Any medium may be used.

Competitions are a great opportunity for members to have their artwork judged by an art authority, attend the awards presentation, and listen to feedback from the judge about the winning artworks. There is no cost and no registration is necessary. Members may enter as many categories as they wish (one artwork per category) to challenge themselves and participate.
