The Society holds twice yearly Competitions.
These are great days of camaraderie and celebration for members. Artworks are checked in early and members congregate in the Art Room for morning Tea. A presentation by a local artist or art community personality is hosted whilst judging occurs. An Awards Presentation is held after the judging is completed where Trophy winners and Merit Awards are presented and commented on by the Judge.
Autumn Competitions are held in March and Spring Competitions in August. Each competition offers 10 different categories (listed below) for Members to enter artworks. The artworks are then judged by a local curator, Professional artist or Art Authority. Each competition is judged by a different judge.
Members are encouraged to enter as many categories as possible to extend themselves and participate.
